The move from Trend 963 to IQVISION is focused on the head-end, replacing the front-end software that manages and visualises your system, rather than changing the underlying field devices.
The starting point is understanding how the existing system is set up.
With Trend 963 now unsupported, taking a full system backup is not always possible. Instead, the existing setup is carefully documented, capturing graphics, layouts, and key configuration points so nothing is lost in the transition.
From there, new graphics are created within IQVISION.
These can range from simple 2D layouts to more detailed visualisations, depending on the building and how the system is used. The time required varies depending on the size of the site and the level of detail needed.
Once complete, the new head-end is installed and connected to the existing system.
This provides a modern, supported interface, improving visibility, usability, and access – without necessarily replacing the wider system.
